I heard a great story this evening from one of my puppy customers that demonstrated taking a golden opportunity & turning it into a training session.

Baxter Labradoodle's owners had a party over Christmas and were worried that 6 month old Baxter might find it difficult and that he might pester their guests. A bit of thought and problem solved. Every guest was presented with a mug on arrival containing small pieces of cheese and carrots and given a few simple instructions. When Baxter passed by any of the guests he was rewarded with a treat for keeping 4 paws on the floor. The result was almost no jumping up and he wasn't worried by the extra people invading his home.

What a brilliant idea!!
