Guiding Paws collects and stores the following personal information

• Your address

• Your landline & mobile telephone number

• Email address

We collect information from you when you register for a newsletter, book a course, respond to a survey or communication such as email, or participate in another site feature. When ordering or registering, we may ask you for the information listed above. You may, however, visit our site anonymously.

 

Like many websites, we use ‘cookies’ to enhance your experience and gather information about visitors and visits to our websites. Please refer to the ‘Do we use 'cookies?’ section below for information about cookies and how we use them.

2. How do we use your information?

We may use the information we collect from you to send course & workshop information and to allow us to better service you in responding to your customer service requests.

 

If you have opted-in to receive our newsletter emails, we may send you periodic emails.

If you would no longer like to receive promotional email from us, please refer to the ‘How can you opt-out, remove or modify information you have provided to us?’ section below. If you have not opted-in to receive e-mail newsletters, you will not receive these emails.

3. How do we protect visitor information?

We use some third-party products to process bookings and emails.  They have responsibility to safeguard your personal information that is held on their cloud-based servers.  Each of these companies have their own privacy policies and you can read these via the links below:

• JotForm – when booking any course, workshop or seminar with Guiding Paws, you will be automatically re-directed to the JotForm website to complete the booking form information.  Your information will be held on the JotFom servers. Guiding Paws will download the information and store the details on their Microsoft One-Drive cloud server and/or transfer it to our MailChimp account.

• MailChimp – stores the mailing databases for Guiding Paws.  It is used to send emails to customers and the monthly newsletter.  All emails include a link for the recipient to unsubscribe at any time if they wish.

• Wix – holds and hosts the www.guidingpaws.co.uk website.

The third-party companies and Guiding Paws implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information. Your personal information is contained behind secured, could-based servers and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems and are required to keep the information confidential.

4. Do we use cookies?

Yes. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer's hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site's or service provider's systems to recognise your browser and capture and remember certain information. They are also used to help us understand your preferences based on previous or current site activity, which enables us to provide you with improved services. It does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety.

 

However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Visiting trainers & speakers are only provided with your name and information related to your dog if this is appropriate.  This is given to assist the trainers & speakers in providing a quality service.  They are not permitted to pass this information to other parties.

6. How can you opt-out, remove or modify information you have provided to us?

Guiding Paws promotional emails include ‘Unsubscribe’ links, so you can change your settings easily at any time. Please note that due to email production schedules you may receive any emails already in production.

To provide you with increased service, we have included third-party links on our site. These linked sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites.
